Dean Eldrid was born in Perth, Western Australia way back in 1969. He is an avid scuba diver and has been diving since 1989, having always been drawn to the underwater realm from an early age. Fascinated by the Jacques Cousteau documentaries it was inevitable that diving would play a big part in his life. It is this affinity Dean has for the 'Deep Blue' , coupled with the beautiful and spectacular life forms within, which inspired Dean to take up underwater photography. In fact it was underwater photography that fuelled his passion for photography of all types including landscapes and wildlife.

"There is nothing more magical than being immersed in your surroundings capturing the beauty that Mother Nature has to offer whether it be sunsets in the gorges of Karijini or being amongst the baitfish as predatory fish come in for the kill."

As Albert Einstein once said 'Look deep into nature and then you will understand everything better'
